TENAGLASS®-3 is polyisobutylene-based sealant specially formulated for use in the production of insulating glass units. It should always be used as primary sealant in combination with compatible secondary polysulphide or polyurethane sealant. TENAGLASS®-3 can be used with all common spacer systems, especially in combination with “warm edge” spacer systems.
The product conforms to the requirements of the EN 1279 standard and is listed by RAL-GZ 520, Applus+, UNI, and AENOR.
PROPERTIES
- Excellent adhesion to glass and metal spacer materials (e.g., aluminium, stainless steel, and various warm edge spacers)
- Very low moisture vapour transmission and gas permeation rate
- Spacer frames coated with TENAGLASS®-3 remain non-adhesive to each other.
- Broad compatibility with various IGU and window elements
- Resistant to elevated exploitation temperatures
- Good compression resistance
- Solvent-free
